Marketing campaigns

Twelve years at Bestattung Wien. In that time an advertising line between death and black humour took shape, which the house still builds on today. A selection of the highest-reach examples, documented in the press.

  1. Gym bag "Ich turne bis zur Urne" (I exercise till the urn)

Black humour to sling over your shoulder, made from organic cotton. The slogan and the product were mine; even senior sports groups ordered them in bulk. Still in the shop today.

  2. Face mask "Aushuastverhüterli" (2020)

Created in the middle of the pandemic, the name and the product came from me. The face mask with Viennese wit even made it into the collection of the Wien Museum.

  3. Face mask "Corona leugnen sichert Arbeitsplätze" (2020)

Black humour that drew attention far beyond Austria and was discussed controversially. The slogan and the product came from me, and brought in 9,000 pre-orders within five days.

  4. Ice scraper "With us you scrape off better" (2022)

A black ice scraper for the cold season, with a play on words I came up with, polarising as intended. On Facebook in the first days: 2,130 likes and 425 comments, on LinkedIn close to 300 comments on a single post. Still in the shop today.

  5. The Funeral Museum as a destination

A niche museum that used to require appointments turned into a tourist draw at the Central Cemetery. Souvenir shop with Lego crematorium and the T-shirt "Ich lese bis ich verwese" (I read till I decompose). Black humour with a marketing strategy.
