Clarity in a confusing field

Anyone who has lost a lot at an online casino faces nothing but open questions. Was the operator even licensed? Can the money be reclaimed? What does current case law say? All around: plenty of advertising and half-knowledge, often from the operators' own orbit. casinoklage.at was meant to be the place that answers clearly and seriously, and that people actually find. With attorney Dr. Oliver Peschel, who has worked on the topic since 2019.

"On a subject that costs this much trust, one simple question decides it: does the right person find the right answer at the right moment?"

Substance that gets found

Reclaiming online-casino losses is a legally demanding subject, and the law keeps shifting. People look for orientation before they contact anyone. A site that helps here has to be two things at once: solid in substance and findable at all.

  1. 01

    The subject

Online casinos without an Austrian licence, heavy losses, case law that keeps turning from the Supreme Court to the European Court of Justice. For those affected, a thicket. Clearing that thicket was the point of the site.

  2. 02

    The pioneer

Attorney Dr. Oliver Peschel has handled the recovery of online-casino losses since 2019, long before the topic became widely known. That experience is the core of the site, and it had to show in the presence too, from the person page to a well-founded blog.

  3. 03

    The point of contact

casinoklage.at bundles what people need: a clear explanation of how recovery works, an overview of the relevant operators, answers to the common questions. Above all, an information platform.

  4. 04

    Made findable

The whole site is built for discoverability, to rank at the top on Google when someone searches. By now in seven languages, from German and English to Turkish and Chinese: it is found by people who do not search in German at all.

  5. 05

    Live

The presence fully replaced the old site and is live, fast, and accessible. The brand's familiar look was kept, so no one who already knew the site is thrown off.

The law around the gambling monopoly is in motion, and the legal blog moves with it. Article by article, ruling by ruling. A point of contact is never finished. It stays on the subject.

Stay recognizable

The casinoklage.at brand was established and meant to stay that way. I built on it carefully instead of reinventing it: the familiar colours remain, the presence became calmer and clearer. At the centre is the person. Dr. Peschel as the face and the expert authority, staged factually, not loudly.

Strategy

Positioning as a serious point of contact, topic architecture for online casino and sports betting, Dr. Peschel as the expert anchor

Design

Recognizable brand look kept and modernized, a clear personal presence, calm visual language

Visibility

SEO structure and a clear architecture, seven languages, a legal blog, provider overview and FAQ

Quality

Accessibility (aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA), fast load times, GDPR-compliant

What this project came down to

Found in search

A clear structure and dedicated pages on recovery, operators, and the common questions. Each answers what people actually type.

Explained clearly

Complex law in plain language: recovery, operators and the most common questions, without legal jargon.

Legal blog

Well-founded articles on the case law of the Austrian Supreme Court and the European Court of Justice, kept up to date. They make the site a knowledge source and keep it current.

Seven languages

The entire site now exists in seven languages, from German to Chinese, so this Austrian subject is findable far across the border.
